Below is an infographic about false fire alarms – the scourge of the Fire Service and often expensive for building owners too as fire chiefs increasingly levy fines on repeat offenders.
Put together by the Fire Industry Association it’s a stark reminder of just how bad the problem is; consider for example that more than a third of emergency calls turn out to be false alarms.
Small wonder the FIA – also a partner of FIREX International – has launched the Cut False Fire Alarm Costs campaign.
